# Birdie Book Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

## Overview

Birdie Book stores your golf data only on your device. The only third party that receives any data is Google AdMob, which shows ads in the app.

Birdie Book ("the app") is published by Amun Studios LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

## Information stored on your device

Everything you enter in Birdie Book stays on your device. We do not run servers that collect it, and we cannot see it.

This includes:

- Rounds you log: course names, cities, dates, scores, hole counts and notes

- Player names you add for your playing group, and head-to-head results

- Stats the app calculates from your rounds

Birdie Book does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.

If your device's own backup service is turned on (such as iCloud Backup or Google Backup), your phone may include app data in those backups. That backup is handled by Apple or Google under their privacy policies, not by us.

Player names you add are stored only on your device and are never shared with those players or anyone else.

## Advertising (Google AdMob)

Birdie Book is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob collects some information from your device to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. Your golf data is never shared with AdMob.

Information AdMob may collect:

| Data | Purpose |

| --- | --- |

| Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) | Personalized ads and frequency limits, only where you allow it |

| IP address and approximate location derived from it | Choosing relevant, region-appropriate ads |

| Device model, operating system and app version | Showing ads that work on your device |

| Ad interactions, such as views and taps | Measuring ad performance and preventing fraud |

| Diagnostic data, such as crash logs from the ad SDK | Keeping ads working reliably |

Google handles this information under its own policies. You can learn more at [How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and the [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

We do not sell your personal information. We receive only aggregated, non-identifying ad reports from Google, such as total impressions and earnings.

## Your choices

You control ad tracking and your data at any time.

- Ad tracking on iOS: the app asks permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using your advertising identifier. You can change this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

- Ad tracking on Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).

- Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: you are shown a consent message, powered by Google's User Messaging Platform, before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app's settings.

- Non-personalized ads: if you decline tracking or consent, you will still see ads, but they won't be based on your advertising identifier.

- Deleting your data: because your data lives only on your device, deleting a round in the app removes it, and uninstalling the app removes all app data from the device. We hold no copy to delete.

## Children's privacy

Birdie Book is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and that information about them was collected through advertising, contact us and we will work with Google to address it.

## Your rights by region

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information.

- EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR): ads are personalized only with your consent, which is the legal basis for that processing. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

- California and other US states with privacy laws (including the CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information. Sharing a device identifier with AdMob for personalized ads may count as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out by declining tracking (iOS) or deleting your Advertising ID (Android) as described above.

Because we don't hold your golf data, requests about it are handled on your device. For requests about advertising data, contact us or use Google's tools at [myadcenter.google.com](https://myadcenter.google.com).

## Security

Your data is protected by your device's own security, such as your passcode, Face ID or fingerprint lock. Keep your device secured and updated.

## Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
