Privacy Policy — Paddle Out: Block Escape

Amun Studios LLC ("Amun Studios," "we," "us," or "our") develops and operates the mobile application Paddle Out: Block Escape (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use the App, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The Short Version

  • We do not operate any servers for this App. There is no account, no login, and no cloud sync.

  • Your game data stays on your device. Level progress, settings, sound preferences, and statistics are written to your device's local storage and are never transmitted to us.

  • We do not collect, store, or receive your personal information.

  • The App shows advertisements through Google AdMob. Google, as an independent advertising provider, collects certain device and usage information in order to serve and measure those ads. This is the only data flow out of the App.

  • The App is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be specific about this, because "we don't collect data" is a claim that deserves detail. Amun Studios does not collect, receive, store, or have access to:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address

  • Any account credentials (the App has no accounts)

  • Your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, or files

  • Your precise GPS location

  • Health, fitness, financial, or payment information

  • Any content you create in the App

The App does not request runtime permissions for the camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or location.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App saves the following to your device's local storage so the game works as expected:

This information never leaves your device, is not backed up to any server we control, and is not visible to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data through your device settings. Note that if you have enabled iCloud Backup or Google Backup at the operating-system level, your device — not Amun Studios — may include this local data in your personal device backup, governed by Apple's or Google's respective privacy policies.

4. Advertising

The App is free and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC.

4.1 What Google Collects

To serve, cap, and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process:

  • Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android)

  • IP address, and coarse location inferred from that IP address (typically city or region level)

  • Device information such as model, operating system version, language, and screen characteristics

  • Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, viewed, clicked, or closed, and general App usage signals tied to ad delivery

  • Diagnostic and fraud-prevention signals

This information is collected directly by Google, not by Amun Studios. We do not receive it in identifiable form. We receive only aggregate, anonymized performance reports (for example, total impressions and estimated revenue) that do not identify any individual user or device.

Google's handling of this data is governed by its own policies, which we encourage you to review:

4.3 Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

Depending on your region and your device settings, ads may be personalized (selected based on inferred interests) or non-personalized (selected based only on general context such as the App's content and coarse location). Non-personalized ads still require limited data — including your advertising identifier — for frequency capping, aggregate reporting, and fraud prevention.

5. Your Advertising Choices

You have meaningful control over ad tracking at the operating-system level:

On iOS / iPadOS

  • The App uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework where required. If you decline the tracking prompt, your IDFA is not shared and you will receive non-personalized ads.

  • You can change this any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

  • You can also disable personalized ads broadly: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads.

On Android

  • Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording varies by device and Android version).

  • On Android 12 and later, you can delete your Advertising ID entirely, after which apps receive a string of zeros.

  • You can also reset your Advertising ID at any time to disassociate past ad activity.

In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

  • The App presents a consent message via Google's User Messaging Platform before any personalized advertising occurs. You may grant or refuse consent, and you may change your choice at any time through the Privacy Settings option in the App's settings menu.

Turning ads off entirely: Ads are how this App stays free and there is currently no paid ad-free tier. If we introduce one, this policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is rated for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the App is not published in Apple's Kids Category or Google Play's Designed for Families program.

In our AdMob configuration, this App is not tagged as child-directed, and ad requests are not marked for treatment under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") child-directed provisions.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has used the App, please note that because the App collects no personal information and stores all game data locally, there is generally nothing for us to delete. You can remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the App. To reset the device advertising identifier, follow the steps in Section 5. 7. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or the UK GDPR applies, the legal bases for processing described in this policy are:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for personalized advertising and any non-essential identifiers, obtained through the in-App consent message.

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for limited processing necessary to deliver non-personalized ads, prevent fraud, cap ad frequency, and produce aggregate performance reporting.

Because Amun Studios does not itself receive or store personal data, Google LLC acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it collects. You may exercise data subject rights directly with Google using the contacts in its privacy policy.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or to withdraw consent.

Since Amun Studios holds no personal information about you, we generally have no records to access, correct, or delete. To exercise rights regarding advertising data, please contact Google directly, or use the device-level controls described in Section 5.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the sharing of advertising identifiers with Google for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" under California law. You can opt out by disabling ad personalization or tracking through the device settings described in Section 5. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

Other U.S. state privacy laws (including those of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and Oregon) provide comparable rights, which may likewise be exercised through the device-level controls above or by contacting us.

9. Data Security

Because the App does not transmit your information to servers we operate, the primary security control is your own device. We recommend keeping your operating system updated and protecting your device with a passcode or biometric lock.

Data transmitted between the App and Google's advertising services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

Amun Studios retains no personal data, so there is no retention period on our side. Locally stored game data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Google's retention of advertising data is governed by Google's own retention practices, described in its privacy policy.

11. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, any data collected by our advertising partner may be processed in the United States or other countries where that partner or its subprocessors operate, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. Google's international transfer safeguards are described in its privacy policy.

12. Third-Party Links

Advertisements displayed in the App may link to third-party websites or app store listings that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those destinations. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you visit.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and post the new version at the policy URL. For material changes, we will provide additional notice within the App where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of the App after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
