Terms of Service — Paper Parlay

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Amun Studios LLC ("Amun Studios," "we," "us"), a California limited liability company, governing your use of the Paper Parlay mobile application and any related services (together, the "App").
By downloading, opening or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

1. What Paper Parlay is — and what it is not
Paper Parlay is a sports betting simulator played entirely with fictional currency.
There is no real-money wagering in the App, and there never will be. You cannot deposit money, you cannot withdraw money, and you cannot win money.
Bankroll balances, stakes, payouts and profit/loss figures are fictional. They have no cash value, no prize value, and no value of any kind outside the App. They cannot be bought, sold, traded, transferred, redeemed, or converted into anything.
Nothing you do in the App is a bet, a wager, or a stake in the legal sense. No consideration is paid, and nothing of value is at risk.
The App is not a sportsbook, is not affiliated with any sportsbook, does not accept or place real wagers, and does not link you to any service that does.
Playing Paper Parlay will not improve your results in real-money gambling. Simulated outcomes are not predictive, and past simulated performance means nothing about future results anywhere.
2. Eligibility — 21 and over
You must be at least 21 years old to use the App. By using it you represent that you are 21 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
We impose this limit ourselves, as a matter of policy, because the App simulates gambling. It is not a claim about the legality of gambling where you live. We may terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 21.
You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you. If simulated gambling apps are restricted where you are, do not use the App.
3. Your account
Anonymous play. You may start using the App without giving us an email address. We will create an anonymous account and store your progress against a random identifier on our servers.
Adding credentials. You may add an email address to an anonymous account at any time, and your bankroll, bet history and league memberships carry over. You may also create an email account from the start. Once an anonymous account is linked to credentials, it cannot be reverted to anonymous.
Losing an anonymous account. If you delete the App, lose your device, or clear its data without first adding an email address, we generally cannot recover or restore your anonymous account. Add an email if your record matters to you.
Your responsibility. Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person, one account — do not create multiple accounts to manipulate leaderboards or leagues.
4. Acceptable use
Do not:
Create more than one account per person, or use another person's account
Manipulate leaderboards, league standings or the odds display by any means
Use bots, scrapers, emulators, automation, or modified clients to interact with the App
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code, other than as permitted by applicable law
Attempt to access another user's data, or probe, scan or breach our systems
Use league names, display names or shared content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that impersonates another person
Use the App to organize, promote, facilitate or settle any real-money betting, pool, or wager, including any side arrangement between users
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or any part of it
Use the App if you are excluded from gambling by a self-exclusion program and believe a simulator would put your recovery at risk
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates this section, and we may remove content or reset simulated balances obtained through abuse.
5. Odds and sports data
Odds, lines, schedules, scores and settlement outcomes are supplied by a third-party odds aggregator and are shown for entertainment only. Displayed prices reflect published lines from sportsbooks including DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, PointsBet (US) and Bovada, and are reproduced as factual market data.
They may be delayed, incomplete, mispriced, or simply wrong. We do not warrant their accuracy and we are not responsible for any decision you make based on them — including any real-world betting decision, which is yours alone and not something the App is designed to support.
We may correct, void, re-grade or reverse any simulated bet affected by a data error, a duplicate market, a scoring correction, or a bug. We may also adjust simulated bankrolls to fix errors or reverse abuse. Because nothing of value is at stake, these adjustments are final.
6. Bankroll, refills and resets
You start with a $1,000 fictional bankroll. If your balance falls below the busted threshold, the App refills it on the schedule described in the App. Your all-time profit and loss is a historical record and is not reset by a refill.
We may change starting balances, refill rules, market availability, league formats and scoring at any time. We may reset leaderboards seasonally. Simulated currency is a license to use a feature, not property, and you have no ownership interest in it.
7. Leagues and user content
Leagues are private groups joined by a shared code. If you create a league you are responsible for who you give the code to. If you join one, your display name, record and simulated profit/loss are visible to other members.
You retain ownership of the content you submit (display names, league names). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating the App. We may remove content that violates section 4.
8. Advertising
The App is free and supported by advertising, currently served through Google AdMob. By using the App you accept that ads will be displayed. Ads may be personalized based on your choices — see our Privacy Policy for how to control that.
We do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for third-party advertisers or the content of their offerings. Advertisements for real-money gambling products, if served, come from the ad network and are not our recommendation.
9. Purchases and subscriptions
This release contains no in-app purchases. The App is free to use.
We may introduce optional in-app purchases or subscriptions in a future release — for example cosmetic items, expanded statistics, or an ad-free tier. If we do:
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms, not by us, and are subject to their refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for platform purchases directly.
Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled, and are managed in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Prices and terms will be disclosed clearly before purchase.
No purchase will ever buy simulated bankroll in a way that constitutes real-money gambling, and no purchase will ever be redeemable for money or prizes. The core simulation remains free-to-play, and the App will remain a no-real-money product.
We will update these Terms before enabling purchases, and continued use after that means you accept the change.
10. Intellectual property
The App, its name, logo, design, code and content are owned by Amun Studios LLC and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment. All rights not granted are reserved.
Team names, league names and marks referenced in sports data belong to their respective owners. Paper Parlay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA, MLS, UFC, DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, PointsBet, Bovada, or any other team, league, sportsbook or governing body. Sportsbook names are used only to identify the source of a published line.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account in Profile → Settings → Delete account.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for violating these Terms, for suspected abuse, or if we discontinue the App. On termination your license ends and we may delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 1, 5, 10, and 12 through 16 survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that odds and results will be accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AMUN STUDIOS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST SIMULATED BALANCES, OR LOSSES YOU INCUR IN REAL-MONEY GAMBLING, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE APP, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) TWENTY-FIVE US DOLLARS ($25).
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Amun Studios LLC from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
[REVIEW WITH COUNSEL — choose one:]
Option A — courts. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
Option B — arbitration. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by [AAA/JAMS] under its consumer rules, in Los Angeles County or by video. You and we waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing info@amun-studios.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.
Nothing here prevents you from bringing a complaint to a government agency.
16. Apple and Google
These Terms are between you and Amun Studios LLC only — not with Apple or Google.
Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support for the App and no responsibility for any claim relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo, and are not on any US government restricted-parties list.
17. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the App. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
We may update these Terms and will post the new version with an updated date. For material changes we will give notice in the App. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
