Privacy Policy — Ruckus: Pass the Phone
Effective Date: August 22, 2026 Last Updated: August 22, 2026
Amun Studios LLC ("Amun Studios," "we," "us," or "our") operates the mobile application Ruckus: Pass the Phone (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use the App, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
Ruckus is designed to collect as little as possible.
We do not require an account, email address, or login.
We do not collect your name, contacts, photos, or location.
Player names and game progress are stored only on your device and never transmitted to us.
We operate no servers that store user data.
The App displays advertising through Google AdMob, which collects certain device-level information. This is the only third party that receives data from the App.
The App is intended for users 18 years of age or older.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
Player names you enter into the App
Answers, votes, or written responses submitted during gameplay
Your contacts, calendar, photos, camera, or microphone
Your precise geographic location
Any payment or financial information
Player names, game selections, and round data exist only in your device's local storage. They are not backed up to our systems, are not visible to us, and are permanently deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
3. Information Collected by Third-Party Advertising
The App is free and supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC. To serve, measure, and prevent fraud in advertising, AdMob may automatically collect and process:
Advertising identifiers — the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS or the Advertising ID (AAID) on Android
Device information — device model, operating system version, screen dimensions, language, and mobile carrier
Network information — IP address, which may be used to infer approximate (city or region level) location
Ad interaction data — ads shown, impressions, clicks, and viewing duration
App usage signals — session start and end times and general in-app events relevant to ad delivery
This information is collected directly by Google, not by us. We do not receive, store, or have access to it in identifiable form. We can view only aggregated, anonymized performance reports (for example, total impressions and revenue).
Google's handling of this data is governed by its own policies:
Google Privacy Policy — https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google uses information from partner sites and apps — https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Google Advertising Policies — https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
4. Analytics and Crash Reporting
[Include this section only if applicable — delete it if you ship without analytics.]
The App may use [Google Analytics for Firebase / Firebase Crashlytics / Expo] to collect anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage statistics such as session length, screen views, and error logs. This data is used solely to diagnose defects and improve stability. It is not used to identify individual users and is not sold or shared for advertising purposes.
5. How Information Is Used
Information collected by our advertising partner is used to:
Display advertisements within the App
Measure ad performance and calculate revenue
Detect and prevent fraudulent or invalid ad activity
Personalize advertising, where you have consented to such personalization
We use aggregated, non-identifying reports to understand overall App performance and to decide what to build next.
6. Your Choices and Controls
6.1 iOS — App Tracking Transparency
On first launch, iOS will ask whether you permit the App to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, no tracking identifier is shared and you will receive non-personalized ads. You can change this at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
6.2 Android — Advertising ID
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization under Settings → Google → Ads.
6.3 Non-Personalized Ads
Opting out of personalization does not remove advertising from the App. You will continue to see ads, but they will be selected based on general context rather than your inferred interests.
6.4 Deleting Your Data
Because all App data is stored locally, you can permanently erase it by clearing the App's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. No further action or request to us is necessary.
7. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the processing described in this Policy relies on the following legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR:
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for personalized advertising and the storing of or access to information on your device for advertising purposes. Consent is collected through a consent management platform presented on first launch and may be withdrawn at any time through the App's settings.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for serving non-personalized advertising, preventing ad fraud, and maintaining App security and stability.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we hold no identifiable data about you, requests concerning advertising data should be directed to Google. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, the sharing of advertising identifiers with Google AdMob for the purpose of delivering personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA.
To opt out: disable tracking through the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt or reset and limit your Android Advertising ID as described in Section 6. Doing so stops the sharing of your identifier for personalized advertising purposes.
We do not knowingly collect or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any privacy right.
9. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana may have comparable rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising. The controls described in Section 6 satisfy the opt-out right for targeted advertising within the App. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details in Section 14.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It contains mature humor, profanity, and sexual references in its Spicy and Filthy content tiers.
The App is not directed to children, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and the App is not enrolled in the Google Play Families program or Apple's Kids Category. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
11. Data Retention
We retain no personal data, because we collect none. Data stored locally on your device persists until you delete it. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention schedules, described in its privacy policy.
12. Data Security
The App transmits data to advertising services over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Because no personal data is transmitted to or stored by us, the risk of a data breach involving your information through our systems is minimal. No method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International Transfers
Google AdMob may process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, Google relies on approved transfer mechanisms, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are available in Google's privacy documentation.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the app store listing. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
