This Privacy Policy explains how Amun Studios LLC ("Amun Studios," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the xSobriety mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Plain-language summary: xSobriety is designed to keep your personal information on your device. We do not operate servers that store your drink logs, goals, moods, or other entries, and we cannot see that data. The App does show banner advertisements through Google AdMob, and Google may collect certain device and usage information to serve those ads. Details are below.

2. Information stored on your device
When you use xSobriety, you may enter information such as your goal (moderation or sobriety), drinks logged, weekly limit, price per drink, alcohol-free days, mood check-ins, and craving levels.
This information is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to Amun Studios, is not backed up to our servers (we do not operate any), and is not accessible to us. It remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. If your device performs its own backups (for example, iCloud or Google device backup), that data may be included according to your device settings and the terms of your device provider — not by us.
Because this data lives only on your device, we cannot retrieve, restore, export, or delete it for you. You control it directly.
3. Information collected automatically for advertising
The App displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob, a Google service. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may automatically collect or receive certain information from your device, which may include:
Device advertising identifiers (e.g., Apple's IDFA / Identifier for Advertisers, Google Advertising ID)
IP address and coarse (approximate) location derived from it
Device information such as device type, operating system, and app version
Ad interaction data (for example, whether an ad was viewed or tapped)
This information is collected by Google, not by Amun Studios, and is governed by Google's own policies. We do not combine advertising data with the information you store in the App.

4. We do not use accounts or cloud storage
xSobriety does not require you to create an account, and it does not sync or store your entries in the cloud. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your advertising choices and controls
You have several ways to control ad-related data:
iOS (App Tracking Transparency): iOS asks for your permission before an app can access your advertising identifier for tracking. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland: Where required, the App presents a consent choice (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads. If you decline, you may still see non-personalized banner ads.
Android: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in Settings › Google › Ads.
Even if you opt out of personalized ads, you may still see non-personalized banner ads, which still rely on limited device data to function.
6. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, processing related to advertising is based on your consent (which you may withdraw at any time) and/or our legitimate interests in supporting a free, ad-supported app. Google acts as an independent controller and/or processor for the advertising data it collects; please review Google's policies for details on its legal bases.
7. Data sharing
We do not share the information stored on your device with anyone, because we do not have access to it. The only third party involved in data collection is Google (AdMob), as described above, for the purpose of displaying advertisements.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Amun Studios, our users, or the public — though in practice we hold no personal data to disclose.
8. Data retention
Amun Studios retains no personal data on its own systems. Data you enter is retained locally on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Advertising data is retained by Google in accordance with Google's retention practices.
9. Security
We designed xSobriety to minimize privacy risk by keeping your entries on your device. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device (for example, with a passcode or biometric lock).
10. Children's privacy
xSobriety concerns alcohol-related habits and is intended for adults (21 years of age or older). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, please secure the device; note that the entries are stored only on that device.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to opt out of certain data uses.
Data in the App: You already have full, direct control — you can view, edit, and delete it on your device at any time.
Advertising data collected by Google: Because Google collects this data, please exercise those rights through Google using the links in Section 5, and through your device's ad settings.

12. International users
The App is offered from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, be aware that advertising data collected by Google may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to Google's policies.

xSobriety is a habit-tracking and motivation tool, not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. See the Terms of Service for details.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
